Would you like to create your own music track but do not know where to start? Or maybe you have already made your first attempts, but the technical aspects of the software are holding you back? We invite you to a unique queer music production workshop using Ableton Live – in an atmosphere of support, openness, and creative freedom.
The workshop will be led by Iwona Skwarek (Iwona SKV) – a composer, music producer, and vocalist – who will introduce participants both to the basics of working with Ableton and to more advanced tips.
Programme:
Part I: aimed at beginners – the basics of working in Ableton Live – the most important functions and shortcuts (sometimes just one can truly change everything!)
Part II: Q&A session – Iwona will answer participants’ questions, collected in advance through a survey shared around one month before the event.
Led by:
Iwona Skwarek (Iwona SKV) – composer, music producer, and singer, graduate of Cultural Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and an LGBT+ person. She has released 6 full-length albums – as part of the duo Rebeka, the girl band Shyness!, and as a solo artist. Her album Hellada was named the best Polish album of 2013 in Gazeta Wyborcza’s ranking.
She has composed music for numerous theatre productions and has played over 400 concerts in Poland and abroad, including Primavera, Open’er, and Audioriver. She specializes in electronic music and vocals, but moves freely across different genres.
This event is intended for queer people, especially FLINTA* individuals – that is, women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, transgender, and agender people.
