#SafeQueerLove: Workshop on safety in a relationship

June 10, 2026, 5:00 PM
Place: Poznań (exact location provided after registration)
Registration required here

During the workshop, we will reflect on what safety in a queer relationship is. We will look both at what supports healthy and respectful relationships, and at what may be a worrying signal. We will talk about boundaries, consent, trust, as well as the sense of support both in the relationship, the closest community, and in the system.

The workshop has an educational and empowering character. The workshop is not a form of group therapy or therapy for couples/relationships. The main goal of the meeting is to increase awareness, provide knowledge, and support participants in recognizing violence in intimate relationships and using possible sources of help for themselves or others.

Come to the workshop if you want to learn:

  • what a safe and healthy relationship is
  • what the specific forms of violence in queer relationships are
  • how to recognize early signs of violence and boundary violations
  • what consent is and how to practice it in relationships
  • what rights you have in a relationship
  • what myths circulate around violence in queer relationships and why they make it harder to seek help
  • what barriers there may be in leaving an abusive relationship
  • what forms of support you can use in Poland
  • how to build safe paths of support in our community

The workshop is intended for adults identifying as people from the LGBTQIA+ community. We do not recommend participating in the workshop with a partner/partners.
