Since LGBTQ+ people are often exposed to stress, and regular yoga practice helps regulate the nervous system, lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) levels, and improves overall well-being – while also teaching gentleness toward oneself and building comfort in one’s own body – we want to offer participants a moment of relief and ways to cope with stress. That’s why we invite you to regular yoga sessions.

Studio Nieznane is an inclusive space for experiencing through movement and the body, where contemporary dance – in all its variety – becomes a unique way to build mindfulness, curiosity, and body awareness, as well as a form of expressing one’s individuality and uniqueness. With us, you’ll experience the full spectrum of contemporary dance diversity, as well as improvisation, contact improvisation, classical, folk, jazz dance, and choreography.
We approach yoga at Studio Nieznane as a complementary technique for dancers, improving awareness, building strength, and helping to fully access the body’s range. However, our class program is designed as a stand-alone, complete path for those interested in yoga only. At our studio, we value complementarity and diversity – from gentle, relaxing yoga practices and breathwork to strengthening techniques and mobility classes focused on body anatomy.
We strive to create a space open to both internal and external initiatives. Our dream is that over time, this won’t just be a place for gaining knowledge and top-level skills, but also a space that supports freelance dancers in Poland.
Studio Nieznane was created by Piotr Leszek, Katarzyna Leszek, Julia Radziszewska, and Filip Hylewicz. It is also home to the Nieznany Dance Theatre, which has been active in Poznań since 2018.
Studio Nieznane is located in the very center of Poznań, at 26 Kramarska Street (Old Market Square). You can get to us in less than 5 minutes from stops like: Plac Wielkopolski, Wielka, Małe Garbary, Aleje Marcinkowskiego, and Wrocławska.
