We take the wheel and learn how to handle our own bicycle so as to feel confident and safe on it. During the workshops, we will focus on basic drivetrain maintenance – participants will learn how to take care of the chain, derailleurs and crank so that the bicycle works efficiently and does not surprise at the least appropriate moment.
This is a meeting for queer people who want to get to know their equipment better, learn simple repairs and gain greater independence in everyday riding. Everything takes place in a calm, friendly atmosphere, without pressure and technical jargon – step by step, in practice.
The workshops are practical in nature – the point is real action on bicycles, asking questions and getting familiar with mechanics in a way доступный and not requiring previous experience.
The event is led by Dagmara Witkowska – a bicycle and bicycle mechanics enthusiast since her teenage years. She did her first repairs on her own, exploring the subject with great curiosity, which over time naturally turned into work and a lasting passion. She also has a unique tendency to come across bicycle emergency situations, in which she gladly helps others. She is currently professionally connected with a bicycle shop and service, and previously ran her own workshop.
