Do you feel like moving, meeting new people and checking whether badminton can become your new thing? Drop by for an open meeting with Lesbinton – an informal initiative that brings together lesbians*, queer women* and non-binary people around playing together, training and building a supportive community.
This event is created with people in mind who would like to try themselves on the court, learn the basics of badminton or simply spend time in a safe, open and relaxed atmosphere. You do not need to have experience or your own equipment – more important than your level of play is the willingness to be together and good energy.
During the meeting, we will show the basic rules of the game, teach simple techniques and play together on the courts. It is also an opportunity to meet the people who create Lesbinton, find out more about our Sunday meetings, regular training sessions with a coach and possibilities for further sports development – from recreational play to participation in LGBTQ+ tournaments.
After the sports part, if the weather is good, we invite willing people for a relaxed “post-sport chill” on blankets in Kasprowicz Park – no pressure, but with conversations, rest and the opportunity to get to know each other better outside the court.*
