Although a recent decision by the Supreme Court removed one of the most degrading aspects of Poland’s gender recognition system, it did not solve its core problems. In Poland, legal gender change remains a medicalized and unregulated process, while examples from Spain, Germany, or Argentina show it should be a simple administrative procedure available on request.
